Our First Review is In!

The folks at crave, the gadget blog from cnet, were kind enough to review NameBuddy and they like it! The reporter emailed me a link oh-so-casually today, saying only “Just wanted to give you a heads up.” I caught my breath and clicked as fast as I could. Cuz “just wanted to give you a heads up” could mean it sucks or she liked it or any number of things.

Fortunately, she likes it:

There’s a place for adding in children’s names, making this a good tool for parents who are meeting folks through their kids’ schools. It could help make the next PTA meeting a little less awkward when you can search Name Buddy to find that little Ricky’s mom’s name is Patty.

She even gives a shout out to the pink color scheme and manicured nail in the icon. I felt that was a bit of a risk when we went so uber-girly with the graphics but I wanted to telegraph that this app was designed by a woman for women. And it seems that the message is getting through.
